FIRE is an EU funded project that aims to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) rise to the challenges facing them in order to participate in the Energy Objective of the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.

FIRE was launched on 1st December 2006 and is a 3 year project co-funded by the European Commission. FIRE is an initiative supported within the framework of 'Stepping up Economic and Technological Intelligence' (ETI) actions of the Sixth Framework Programme. FIRE is made up of 14 partners from 11 countries across Europe, all experts in their field of technology or SME support and aims to assist SMEs face the challenges posed by this evolving environment.

Workshops:

It organises Technology Based Workshops throughout Europe of 2 days offering a unique opportunity for thematic training, individual assistance and expert advisory and a platform for personal networking. Participation in the workshop is free (travel and subsistence costs will be paid by the attendees).
Surveys:
